About the Event

We invite you to our online event to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The second edition theme in a row is "Algerian women's leadership in science". We will also focus on Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG5) which addresses gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. #SDG5 is one of the 17 goals set by the @unitednations as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which aims to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone. The event will feature lectures from guests, ALWIS members' perspectives, and interactive sessions that will provide a platform for participants to engage and learn from leading Algerian female scientists.  Our guests are: 📍 Karima Ait-Aissa, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at Lincoln Memorial University, USA 📍Djamila Douache: Training engineer in Telecommunications and Vendor management specialist, at Ericsson, Algeria
