About the Event

This year, Algeria celebrates a significant anniversary, 60 years of independence. Algerian women played a significant role in Algeria's war and independence. 60 years later they are still playing a huge part in the development and progress of the country, in all sectors; economy, education, and science. To mark this occasion, ALWIS will host a panel discussion on the 5th of July at 5 pm (GMT+1) where we'll receive several Algerian women scientists from different STEM fields to take a look at the past and review the challenges and achievements accomplished by Algerian women scientists and share thoughts and solutions for a better future of Algerian women scientists.
